New Book and Study Guide Help Readers Build a Deeper Relationship with God through Simple, Structured Reflection
Authors Noel and Denise Enete announce the release of Flickering God The Father, a unique devotional designed to help readers understand God's character by observing His actions. This accessible book, paired with study guides and the Spectrum Bible app, offers a fresh approach to Bible study—one that is structured, yet motivating, and deeply personal.
In Flickering God The Father, readers are guided through 8 key passages in which God the Father is active. Each passage encourages personal reflection and writing, offering a space for readers to note what they see, with suggested answers in the back if needed. Additionally, each passage includes a devotional commentary highlighting the nature of God. Through this method, Noel and Denise introduce the "Flicker" method, a simple four-step process designed to enhance understanding without overwhelming the reader.
“Bible study can often feel like a daunting task. Our goal with Flickering God The Father is to make it easy, rewarding, and deeply engaging. The Flicker method guides you through the Bible, allowing you to get to know God as you would a friend—by watching Him in action,” says Noel Enete.
The book also includes study guides, such as Flickering God The Father: Study Guide 6, designed to give readers practice and help them start their Bible study journey. These guides focus on learning to trust God by getting to know Him better. As Proverbs 3:5-6 and Romans 8:28 remind us, it is hard to trust someone you don’t know. By watching God act in the Bible, readers learn what He is like and can build that trust in their relationship with Him.
To further enrich the Bible study experience, Noel and Denise introduce the free Spectrum Bible app. This app, available in both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, provides access to six English Bible translations and the Greek New Testament and Hebrew Old Testament. The app is designed to be user-friendly, offering a simple way to reference the Greek and Hebrew texts, which many readers find invaluable in their studies.
“We wanted to create something that not only makes the Bible easier to study but also makes it more accessible,” Denise explains. “The Spectrum Bible app is a tool we’ve developed to help readers engage with God’s Word on a deeper level, no matter where they are.”
The Spectrum Bible app has been available on the Apple App Store for 10 years with a 4.8-star rating and is now available on Android. The app allows readers to explore various Bible versions, ranging from the most literal translations to the more paraphrased ones, with color-coded columns to indicate the type of translation.
